backto"normal"

I've been thinking about last weeks adventures , and I have realized that vacations are awesome!., but the truth is that while I get wrapped up in the planning, and the trip, the events that take place in my everyday life are no less significant, or awesome than the events that take place on my vacations.

Over the last seven days I have covered more miles, seen some absolutely amazing scenery, spent more time with my family hiking and biking, and appreciated it all just a little bit more. I have also written a story based on my trip, and rediscovered black and white photography. The picture on the right is at Lake Norman State Park on a hike following voting on Tuesday.

The boys and I went to the BMX track Saturday and I got to watch my boys take 1st and 2nd in the 7-8yr old novice division! They are learning a lot on the track. What fun, and they get trophies! That is our neighbor, and my boys idol Wyatt in the middle. He is racing in the 10 yr old novice division and placed 1st this week.
Another thing that I have been thinking alot about this week, as it has been all but all consuming the news over the last two years is the election of a new president. I didn't vote for the guy, but I am truly excited to see what will happen with our country, and our government over the next four years. Change is gonna happen. God willing some of that change will be in the hearts and minds of all of us. I do believe that all of our elected leaders are ordained by God, and with that in mind I can't be upset that my guy didn't win. (to be honest I wasn't pulling that hard for him anyway) The beauty of it is that I get to serve God regardless of who is in the whitehouse. And I never ran a campaign, and was never elected. But I am chosen!

Amen Brad! Thanks for your wise words and congratulations to all three boys on their biking victories. We too were reminded tonight at church that we can say "...but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." Love, Mom

Congrats to the younger Bodin boy bikers! How fun to read your blogs and see your wonderful pics of family and God's awesome creation thru your artistic eyes. I praise God for His answered prayers in your life, Brad! You are greatly loved. Aunt Sharie

Yeah man normal should always be cool. The cool thing about being an artist, author, photographer, or song writer is that we get to zoom in on what is already a real cool scene and celebrate it in the moment.
